A true Hamburg woman with a faible for numbers

Hello Andrea, have you been with WERNER WIRTH for long?
Yes. For more than 27 years.

What exactly do you do at WERNER WIRTH?
As Head of Administration, I am responsible for payroll and financial accounting as well as for all administrative tasks.

What path led you here?
27 years ago, during my first parental leave, I started here as a sole bookkeeper, working one day a week. As the children grew, the working hours increased steadily. Moreover, as the company grew, the tasks and responsibilities increased. Today four great colleagues support me here at the WERNER WIRTH Group.

How do you experience working at WERNER WIRTH?
In my team – almost everyone here has been with me for over 10 years – you can really rely on each other. Not only in our team, but also in the entire WERNER WIRTH Group, we have a great working atmosphere. Everyone treats each other nicely; everyone has a kind word for each other – not just “Good day, the North German salutation “Moin” and goodbye”.

We all agrees to be on first-name terms, no matter which department you work in. This just makes it more relaxed and familiar. For me all these small thinks count and that is why I like coming to work.

Describe yourself. What is important to you?
For the future, but also currently, I see digitalisation as an important topic for us. We would like to digitize more processes, e.g. invoice control. Therefore, a new team member joined us in summer 2022. She is primarily taking care of digitization and automation.
Overall, it is amazing to see the development of our company. When I started in 1995, for example, we had a monthly turnover of 80,000 Deutschmarks, today it is over 2 million euros. I am very proud to be part of the WERNER WIRTH Group.
In private life, I am married, have two grown-up children, I am a true Hamburg native and live about 25 km from our location. Whenever possible, I like to travel. Apart from weekend trips or the occasional long-distance trip, I go to Rhodes for a fortnight every year to relax and snorkel.
